When does Neptune Island Waterpark open for the season?
Neptune Island Waterpark will open to the public on Saturday, May 18th for season pass holders only, and Sunday, May 19th to the public . For our complete schedule, visit our About the Park page.

What days can I make a reservation for my birthday party?
Birthday party reservations for the 2024 season are available beginning Saturday, May 18th. Birthday parties are available during normal hours of operation. Birthday parties are not available before or after normal hours and dates of operation. For our complete schedule, visit our About the Park page.

Is my birthday honoree included with the admission tickets?
YES, the birthday honoree is included in the 11 (eleven) admission tickets that are included with the package.

What if I have more than 11 people coming to my party?
Not a problem! Simply add on additional chaperone (adult) tickets and/or participant (child) tickets to your order to meet the needs for your party.

What if my guests are planning to purchase their own tickets?
If guests plan on purchasing tickets on their own, please advise them to reference your birthday reservation to receive discounted admission tickets. Discounted tickets are only available on the day of your event.

Do all guests need a ticket even those who are only coming for the party and will not be participating in park activities?
Yes, all guests who enter Neptune Island, even for birthday parties, must have a ticket. Fortunately, we offer discounted admission tickets for party guests. Adults may purchase chaperone tickets for $9.99+tax and children may purchase participant tickets for $14.99+tax.

When can I enter the park?
While parties will be reserved at designated times throughout the day, your admission tickets are valid for the entire day. You may enter the park at normal opening time, but you will not be able to access your party pavilion until your designated party time. We encourage guests to stay and enjoy the park after your party time ends.

Can my guests pick up their tickets any time throughout the day?
Tickets included with your package will not be available until the remaining balance on your reservation is paid. Once this has been taken care of, then all tickets will be printed and given to the birthday event organizer for distribution to guests. If the event organizer wishes to leave the tickets for guests to pick up, then a list with names will need to be provided to ensure that tickets are distributed appropriately.

Can I access my party pavilion early or stay after the party time?
Neptune Island schedules multiple parties throughout the day. Early check-in or late check-out of your party pavilion is not available as other parties may be taking place before or after your event and staff must prepare each pavilion before and after each event.

What does the “up to 25 guests” mean in the birthday package? I thought only 11 admission tickets were included.
Each of our party pavilions have a maximum capacity of 25. Please do keep in mind that any additional tickets will need to be added for any guests over the included 11 admission tickets. Birthday reservations may not exceed 10% of original order and no more than 25 participants in total with the Captain’s Celebration package.

Can I bring my own food to the party?
No outside food or drink is allowed inside Neptune Island. Only birthday cakes or cupcakes are permitted inside with a birthday reservation. As a friendly reminder we do not allow ice cream or ice cream cakes.

How many people can each pizza serve?
Our pizzas are 16” and cut into 8 slices. Each pizza can easily serve 4-8 guests depending upon appetite. Additional pizzas may be added on up to 72 hours prior to your event. Neptune Island Waterpark may not be able to accommodate any additional add on pizzas requested with less than 72 hours advance notice due to inventory supply chain lead times.

Can Neptune Island store my cake for me?
Neptune Island is unable to store any cakes or cupcakes. Guests with parties later in the day are encouraged to store their cake or cupcakes in a cooler in their personal vehicle and bring the cake in at the time of your event. Please be sure to have your hand stamped at the gate when exiting.

Can I bring decorations?
Yes, you may bring decorations to make your event special. Please kindly note that you will not be able to access your party pavilion early to decorate as there may be a party before your event. You may bring birthday candles, balloons, table covers, table decorations, and paper products. Confetti is strictly prohibited inside Neptune Island. For decorating reference, our Entry and River Pavilions have 6 picnic tables each for your guests. We will provide napkins, plates and utensils during your party if needed.

What are my Birthday Host’s job duties?
Your Birthday Host will deliver your food and beverages included with your package and clean up at the end of your event. Your birthday host will check in periodically, but will not hover at your event. Your Birthday Host is not permitted to serve any additional items besides those included with your package, including but not limited to additional food items not included with party packages, cake, etc. Your Birthday Host may assist with set-up as needed.

What is the cancellation policy for booking a birthday party?
All birthday parties must be booked a minimum of 5 business days in advance and a 50% deposit is due at the time of reservation. We requires Two business days to cancel in order to refund your deposit. In the event of cancellation we will make every effort to reschedule your party. Neptune Island Waterpark operates its facility completely outdoors, which may be impacted by inclement weather. By making a reservation at Neptune Island Waterpark, the guest agrees that they understand their visit may be impacted by inclement weather. No refunds will be given in the event of inclement weather.

What happens in the event of inclement weather?

Neptune Island is open every day of the season, rain or shine but can close for the day based on current poor conditions and a poor forecast. It is advised that you check the forecast for the Hartsville, SC area prior to your visit. If we experience inclement weather that includes lightning (or some other extreme weather condition), the park will suspend operations until it passes. The park does not suspend operations for rain. If the park is unable to reopen after 90 minutes of suspension, Neptune Island will close for the day. Contact Guest Services for further information.

What happens if I need to cancel or change my event and would like a refund for my deposit?

Neptune Island Waterpark recognizes that there are events outside our control, including but not limited to inclement weather, car troubles, sickness, etc., that may require the change of an event with a required deposit. Neptune Island Waterpark will work with the guest to reschedule their event to another day of their choosing during the current season, but will not refund the required deposit with less than Two business days.

By entering our premises, you understand that you may be photographed, filmed, or videotaped and you hereby give City of Hartsville and Neptune Island Waterpark the unqualified right to take pictures and/or recordings of you and grant the perpetual right to use your likeness, image, photo (collectively, “image”), without compensation, for broadcast or exhibition in any medium and to put the finished pictures/recordings to any legitimate use without limitation or reservation. You hereby waive, release and forever discharge the City of Hartsville and Neptune Island Waterpark from and against any and all claims or actions arising out of or resulting from any use of your image.

*In-City Residents Discount will be applied to the remaining balance due at the time of your party. Proof of residency, such as a current City of Hartsville Utilities Bill or Voter Registration card is required for In-City Residents Discount.
